This was a my final thesis project for my 3D Character Design and Animation course at Fanshawe College. The goal for this assignment was to create a 3D side scroller game. We decided to create a game based around a group of villains with the goal of causing as much destruction as possible. Each artist was tasked to create a level, environment assets, as well as create and animate a character that is playable in Unity. We were grouped up with a team of coders that helped us execute the gameplay portion and overall vision of our game. The character I decided the do was an escaped convict, and the level was a night time bar/city scene.

What Was Done

  • Conceptualize Escaped Prisoner For Game
  • Modeled, Rigged, Skinned, and Animated in 3DS Max
  • Conceptualize Bar Scene / Evening City Environment
  • Created Multiple Buildings, Storefronts, as well as other assets like fire hydrants, , buses and bus stops for the environment
  • Animated Buses and cars to give the city more life
  • Exported all assets to from 3DS Max, and imported into Unity
  • Designed and Lit City within unity
